Fire and Destiny Centre

Here's how it started

One morning I woke up earlier than usual and felt a great weight on me. While this supernatural weight remained on me I had only one thought - Dunedin. Twice in the following six months I was touched powerfully by the Holy Spirit. Both times He spoke to me clearly saying, 'I have given you authority in this city.' His emphasis was on the word authority. Picture it - Dunedin experiencing a continuous supernatural move of the Spirit because God's people are passionately in love with Him and eager to demonstrate His love and authority - Nathan Shaw.

Family | Creativity | Destiny

God is a warm and loving Father who loves every person like a parent loves their own child. God loves family. It was His idea. He is not cold and distant like many believe. The church is God's family. It is a place full of love, belonging, significance, celebration and joy. Religiosity isolates people. Christianity, on the other hand, is a celebration that connects people with God and with each other.

God loves creativity. He is infinitely creative. The more you experience and know Him the more your unique creativity is discovered and expressed. Sometimes God is portrayed as being very narrow in His interests. Nothing could be further from the truth. Whether it's a songwriter composing a song, a designer creating an invention, or just an every day conversation, God loves creativity in its many and varied forms.

Jesus was a carpenter. He was industrious. Being in business is not unspiritual. God created us to do something. He also gives us the wisdom to be successful and to help others while we are doing it. We each have unique destinies. It is not God's intention for us to just sit around trying to be holy.

Imagine combining the dynamics of Family, Creativity and Destiny. That's more than relevant – it's positively explosive. It is also something we hope to emulate at Fire and Destiny Centre.
